What is BYON (Bring Your Own Number)?
Connect your account from providers like Twilio, Vonage, or Plivo to use your own phone numbers. Currently we support Twilio, with more providers coming soon. You pay your provider directly at their standard rates - MDLMN doesn't mark up usage costs.
What's included in the 10 trial actions?
The free trial includes 10 combined uses of Call (bridge calling), Text to Self, and Clip to Self features. Dial (direct dial) is always unlimited and free.
What's the difference between Dial and Call?
Dial opens your phone's dialer with the number pre-filled (free forever). Call creates a bridge call where both parties are connected through Twilio (requires subscription after trial).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Do I need a provider account for the free trial?
Not immediately. You can try the Dial feature without connecting a provider. For Call, Text, and Clip features, you'll need to connect a provider account like Twilio (we'll guide you through setup).
What are the provider usage costs?
Costs depend on your provider. For example, Twilio (currently supported) typically charges $0.0140/min for calls and $0.0083 per SMS in the US (plus carrier fees). Rates vary by provider and country. You'll see exact costs in your provider's dashboard.
